Farewell Bubba
|
Steve aka "Bubba", the electrician that has worked on every major data center project with me for the past 5 years took his own life yesterday. I am shocked, saddened, and angered. He was very well known at work, having been the building's electrician for over 20 years. He also had such a positive attitude and a unbelievable work ethic. he was also known for his honest and moral compass. My entire team at work was shocked to hear the news as he was such a pillar in our lives at work. Whenever we needed anything electrical (which is just about every week), we called Bubba. Bubba and I had a great working relationship and we could read each other minds and know what was needed before we even finished working on plans. I cannot fathom what he was experiencing that would make him leave his 4 children behind. I am angered as this seems like such a selfish thing to do. It only brings more tragedy to others and doesn't solve any problems. I can only assume that he was clinically depressed and undiagnosed.
May God rest his soul. May God bless his family in this time of great sorrow.
