My best friend just landed a sweet job and moved to a new place nearby. Naturally, he was evacuated shortly thereafter. He lives in Rancho Bernardo which is right off the 15 just south of Escondido and right on the south edge of the fire. He's currently holed up with some family in Long Beach. No bueno.
