TV Land
Rebecca and I have been watching Angel lately. We're currently in the middle of Season 2 and I'm finally starting to really like it. It's just now getting into the swing of things, suffering from the usual "what the heck is this show about?" stigma that plagues most first seasons of TV series. The characters are finally starting to really be developed and the plot is showing less repeatative crapola. Overall, I have high hopes that the rest of the seasons won't suck. I used to hate the character Angel, but now that he's developing more and becoming less of a boring brude, I'm growing fond of him. Also, Wesley started the season being a completely useless pansy and is now also growing on me. He seems to have stopped whining and has grown a pair. Thank goodness.

Alias is starting to show signs of wear and tear for me. It's still fun to watch, but they never seem to wrap things up. As Chibbell would put it, they're "Robert Jordaning" the series; making it go on and on to the detrement of the overall story. Basically, it's getting a little boring adn trite. I'll stick it out for now, but unless something cool happens soon, I don't see myself watching season 5.

Carnivale is awesome and I'm most impressed with season 2. I really didn't think that they would be able to pull it off, but it seems to be just as good as season 1. You can read more about this cool show in this blog entry by Chibbell.

Fortunately for Carnivale I dont think that HBO or the writers will let it live past its demise. I am still interested in Alias but appreciate the warning.

I really can't imagine you ever liking Angel. I suppose I should give the show a chance but I just have no urge to watch it. The last season of Buffy kind of left me with a stale taste in my mouth.

But a super sweet, popular show that is only two seasons long?? I would be muy disappointed if that were the case. The creator said that Season One was just the "prologue" to the story, and I'm hoping that they can go beyond this season.

Angel is actually shaping up to be a good show. There are some characters I want to smack around, but I like it. Definately better than the last season of Buffy.
