TV Land
Rebecca and I have been watching Angel lately. We're currently in the middle of Season 2 and I'm finally starting to really like it. It's just now getting into the swing of things, suffering from the usual "what the heck is this show about?" stigma that plagues most first seasons of TV series. The characters are finally starting to really be developed and the plot is showing less repeatative crapola. Overall, I have high hopes that the rest of the seasons won't suck. I used to hate the character Angel, but now that he's developing more and becoming less of a boring brude, I'm growing fond of him. Also, Wesley started the season being a completely useless pansy and is now also growing on me. He seems to have stopped whining and has grown a pair. Thank goodness.
Alias is starting to show signs of wear and tear for me. It's still fun to watch, but they never seem to wrap things up. As Chibbell would put it, they're "Robert Jordaning" the series; making it go on and on to the detrement of the overall story. Basically, it's getting a little boring adn trite. I'll stick it out for now, but unless something cool happens soon, I don't see myself watching season 5.
Carnivale is awesome and I'm most impressed with season 2. I really didn't think that they would be able to pull it off, but it seems to be just as good as season 1. You can read more about this cool show in this blog entry by Chibbell.

World of Warcraft
I play World of Warcraft almost every weekend. My main character is Fitch, a level 43 Warrior. This weekend I was able to get the 90 gold required to purchase a mount. Behold! My chestnut mare and I pose before some ruins in Hillsbrad, near South Shore. I'm such a dork...

Faster than Fast
I'm pretty sure that we're going to set a record for migrating to Exchange 2003 if we can do it in the 3 week time-frame we have set. April 4th is the go-live date and every single day until then has me and my entire team working our butts off to get it done. The Avanade consultant has been very helpful so far and I am confident that we will succeed. That's all for today.

OPB Telethon
Along with about 30 of my coworkers, I volunteered to answer the phone and take "pledges" from callers during a telethon on Oregon Public Broadcasting (channel 10). It was a lot more fun that I expected. We basically got to just hang out, eat snacks, and laugh a lot. We were on TV about 3 times per hour for about 10 minutes each. The phones didn't ring as much as you might think. I took about 15 calls and collected a few hundred dollars. I even called my mom and got her to donate $35 and she can't even get the station where she lives! Sucker! (just kidding mom) I thought about calling all of my friends, but I figured none of them would bite and I'm not too keen on trying to sell someone something they may not want. The highlight of the day was when I got a prank call: RING "Thank you for calling OPB. How much would like to pledge?" "Um, get off the air! I want to watch the program and you keep interrupting it asking for money." "Well sir, for a pledge of only $120, you will receive a DVD of tonights show as a free gift. Then you can watch it without interruption whenever you like." "uh, F-U" (click)

Husum Falls!
I was organizing some junk on my work PC and discovered this classic picture. This is a raft full of my coworkers (I'm in the front right) right after we went over Husum Falls. The best part of this pic is the helmet and vest you can see floating outside the raft on the right. One of my coworkers fell out of the raft and took a nice swim in the rapids. Don't worry, she was rescued shortly there after and rejoined us about a hundreds yards down. Good times. :)

My Friends, How I Love Thee
I have the bestest most loyal friends in the whole wide world. They would never even think about taking a nice Sunday drive to the Multnomah Falls and the Skamania Lodge without their good friend Jim. Nope, they would never do that.
This is the evil genius behind this lousy scheme. He is to blame for the disloyalty and corruption of the rest of the group. Lousy no good Chibbs!

Heaving Sigh
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. My time is going to be torn with a few important meetings and the Avanade consultant. I hope I can give the Avanade guy enough time to get him started. The rest of this month is going to be crazy as we focus on launching Exchange 2003 on April 4th. It's exciting work, but the accelerated time frame along with the myriad of other projects we have is going to make this whole month crazy.
Since today might be my last weekend of free time, I finally finished this blog template. It's much nicer and easier to read than my last one. I also put up a new blog template for Rebecca's site as well. Her's is based on a template she downloaded, but I made a few graphical and css tweaks. She seemed happy with it.
I finally reached level 40 in World of Warcraft yesterday. I was hanging out with some pubbers (non-guild players) that I like to group with. Ryanna and Stealthy helped me solve about 8 quests. Very nice folks. It's too bad they're not in the White Company guild since they would fit in perfectly. I was hoping to play some more today, but I haven't gotten around to it. Once I'm done with this post, I plan on taking a nap. Hopefully I can put in a few hours gaming then. At level 40, my character is finally able to wear plate armor. I purchased a bunch of stuff at the auction house and reduced my gold to around 30. This is troublesome since I need 90 gold to purchase a mount.

New Look
I finally took the time to start designing a new look for this blog in the hopes that it would inspire me to post more. I've put a lot of time into it the past two days and I really like the way it's coming out. I still have a lot of work to do on it: a header with some cool icons at the top, links on the right, etc. It's coming along nicely and it should be finished by this weekend.
